About Epicyt Pharma

Epicyt Pharma AB is a Gothenburg-based pharmaceutical R&D company whose development effort is focused on intestinal calcium absorption and how this affects the bone health. The company was founded in 2016 when Lars Fändriks (MD, PhD and Professor in integrative physiology at the Sahlgrenska Academy) and Ville Wallenius (MD, PhD and Associate Professor at the Sahlgrenska Academy) together with a group of investors decided to exploit their discovery research.

Our vision

Our vision is to lead in mitigating the effects of calcium malabsorption, to prevent osteoporosis and bone fragility, by promoting intestinal calcium absorption to improve bone health.
